DD+D has contributed key design input on a diverse range of projects, from medical instruments to marine channel markers, from architectural lighting to baby feeding products. Clients cover the spectrum from individual entrepreneurs to globally established companies. Of course, the commercial constraints applying to new product development must be understood and respected; our challenge is to transcend them where possible and in the process, create sustainable solutions that deliver lasting value, and generate satisfied and loyal customers.
Over the last decade, developments in communication and CAD technology have transformed the commercial landscape; design and production have been de-coupled from the market. Now the geographic location of design, production and marketing is totally fluid. Functional locus is open to negotiation; where’s best for cost, for quality, reliable delivery, security of IP? Over time we’ve built good contacts with high quality local and offshore production facilities, contacts which can be made available to our clients.
DD+D can provide a turn key design service, taking a project from the initial idea, through working prototype, and on to full production. Alternatively we can dovetail with the client's team to provide specialist design input as and where required.
